MK 612: STATISTICS FOR MARKETING DECISIONS (FOR MIM-31)
During 12-26 September 2017, MIM-31 will be studying the first taught course in Trimester II MK 612: Statistics for Marketing Decisions which is another marketing-tool course and is compulsory in the MIM curriculum.  This course introduces students to fundamental statistical concepts procedures, and decision-making.  It emphasizes an applied and computer-based approach to such topics as descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, sampling methods, and sampling distributions.  It covers statistical inference and hypothesis testing of means, variances, correlation coefficients, and multiple regression relationships.  All course topics are approached from a problem-solving, marketing research perspective.
This course will be taught by Dr. James E. Nelson who is an Associate Professor of Marketing (Emeritus) from Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado at Boulder, U.S.A.  Dr Nelson received his Doctoral Degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota.  He has written several articles and cases related to Marketing and is Visiting Professor in many universities such as the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow, Calcutta and Bangalore; University of Kebangssan in Malaysia; University of Madrid in Spain; and various universities in Europe, including Thammasat University in Thailand.  One of his passionate hobbies is driving a Formula One racing car.
Dr Nelson has also taught you in an introductory course MK 500: Introduction to Business and Marketing at the very beginning of your study, and will be with you once again in the last two trimesters of your MIM study in the courses Independent Study 1 & 2.

An Interview with CNN by Krating Poonpol (MIM-14)
One of the most notable and successful MIM alumni who has jostled promising startups in Thailand should be no other man than Krating (Ruangroj) Poonpol.
We therefore would like to share this invaluable knowledge with our alumni and prospective MIM candidates.  That is why this evening-talk session by one of the world-class IT gurus: Prof. Dr. Anitesh Barua has been organized.
The final taught course in this second trimester for MIM-31 is MK 614: Global Marketing Strategy, and will be taught by Professor Dr. Bodo B. Schlegelmilch from Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria during December 12-22, 2017.
